Online Resources
Planbook
Planbook is a website that shows the schedule for the week. Each day is broken down into separate classes, and students can see what they'll be learning. Links to videos, slideshows, and other materials are also posted when necessary.
The Home Practice Packet is also posted on each Friday in case the paper copy is lost.
This is a great resource for students and parents to check when they're absent or have to arrive late or leave early.
Google Classroom
Google Classroom serves different functions for the class. 5th graders have two classes to choose from: 5th grade math and 5th Grade.
5th grade math contains links and videos to Ms. Susan's math assignments, along with other study tools. 5th Grade is used for my classes. I primarily use it to post links for students to use during class. These go up in the Stream portion of the site. Students can also use the stream to ask each other and myself questions about home practice and IS.
Use the menu in the top right corner of the google.com to open Google Classroom. Students need to be signed in to their Creekside account for this to work.
Pathways/PLS/Parent-Student Portal
This resource has many names, but what you need to know is this is where students and parents can find their grades. Students can see what score they received, and what assignments are missing. Please keep in mind that the grade shown is for that specific learning period, and doesn't reflect a student's overall grade.
Parentsquare
This platform is used for communications between parents and myself. When enrolling in Creekside you will be asked to join. It's an easy platform to set up, with a website and an app for your phone. This is where my weekly letter, any photos, and other news (field trip info, school events, changes in schedule, etc.) is posted for you to see.
